You decide! In an open adoption, you can stay in touch with your baby's family through:
Letters and photos
Phone calls or video chats
Occasional visits
Many Ohio birth mothers choose open adoption because they want to watch their child grow up and know they're loved and safe.
In a closed adoption, there's little to no contact. You might choose this if you want privacy and space to heal.
In a semi-open adoption, you get updates without sharing personal information.
