You can pick how open your adoption is. You can get help with housing, medical care, and living costs. You will have a counselor by your side every step of the way. There is no cost to you. Everything is confidential. If you are pregnant and thinking about adoption in Utah, we are ready to help you right now. Call or text us anytime.

At Heart to Heart Adoption Agency, our mission is rooted in connecting birth families with the right adoptive family and building lasting relationships. We believe adoption doesn’t sever ties — it expands the family, creating a bond that can last a lifetime between birth mothers and the families they choose.

We know this is one of the hardest things you will ever do. We also know that women who are supported, informed, and empowered make decisions they can live with and feel peace about. That is what we are here for.

Are Utah Adoption Agencies Different From Agencies in Other States?

Many women choose a Utah adoption agency because Utah allows agencies to offer a wide range of support during pregnancy. Depending on your situation, this may include help with housing, counseling, transportation, and other pregnancy-related expenses. Utah agencies also work with women from all over the country and have experience helping with interstate adoptions.

Utah Adoption Follows Women's Preferences

Utah adoption agencies are empowered to follow the good-faith wishes of the birth mother when it comes to placement. This means that you have the legal right to choose the family who raises your baby.

Adoption Support is Transparent

Utah legislators recently passed SB154, a law that requires agencies to be fully transparent about cost. Heart to Heart has always followed this practice. We give every birth mother free support without asking her to pay a thing, and we give every adoptive family an honest, upfront picture of all fees.

Your Decisions Matter

SB154 also strengthens your right to choose an adoptive family based on what matters most to you. At Heart to Heart, we have always honored this. Your values, your hopes for your child, your preferences about contact.

What Does Heart to Heart Adoptions Do for Me as a Birth Mother?

We do a lot more than file paperwork. When you call Heart to Heart Adoptions, you get a dedicated case manager who becomes your point person for everything. She will help you think through your options, build your adoption plan, look at family profiles, and prepare for delivery day. She is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For birth mothers, our team goes beyond emotional support. We address physical needs — facilitating housing with round-the-clock access to your case manager, covering living expenses, and making sure you get excellent prenatal and birthing care. We also connect you with your own attorney, because your legal rights matter.

Will My Case Manager Be Close By?

If you call, Michelle, seen in this picture, will probably answer your call. Or maybe Wendy. They will find you someone close to you that can help.  Whether you need help arranging housing, working through a legal question, or just someone to talk to at 2 AM, our staff is local and available.  Our team means we can respond quickly and be there in person when it matters.

Whether you are in Salt Lake Valley, St. George, Moab, Cache Valley, or Washington County, we are here for you. If you can’t come to us, we come to you.

Can I Choose the Family Who Adopts My Baby?

Yes!! And this is one of the things that makes Heart to Heart Adoptions different. We give you access to over 100 approved, waiting family profiles. You can look at photos, read their stories, learn about their lives, and ask your case manager questions about any family you are interested in.

“I thought I’d have to take whatever family they gave me. When I learned I could actually choose, everything changed. I found a family in Draper that felt perfect.”  — Birth mother, West Valley City

You can take your time. You can meet families by phone, video, or in person before you decide. If nothing feels right, we look further. There is no deadline and no pressure.

Asking questions doesn’t commit you to anything

Reaching out to learn about financial support or adoption doesn’t lock you into a decision. You can ask questions, explore your options, and take time to think — without pressure, expectations, or obligation.

You remain in control of your choices at every step.

What Kinds of Adoption Are Available in Utah?

Utah allows open, semi-open, and closed adoption. Most birth mothers today choose some level of openness because staying connected helps them feel peace about their decision. Usually, birth mothers request letters, pictures, and messages. As a birth mother, you can respond to these messages and your child will know about you. Open adoption does not mean you are parenting together. It means your child grows up knowing you loved them, and you get to watch them thrive.

What About Privacy and Compliance from the Adoptive Family?

Your privacy is essential to us. We have a full-time staff member dedicated to making sure we comply with adoption regulations regardless of what state a birth mother comes from. Your information will never be shared without your permission.

Do I Have to Pay Anything?

No. As a birth mother, you are not required to pay anything. All fees are paid by the adoptive family.

In many cases, you may qualify for help with living expenses, transportation, and other reasonable pregnancy-related expenses.

Is It Too Late to Call?

It is never too late. Whether you are early in your pregnancy, in your third trimester, in the hospital, or raising your child, you can make a parenting plan.

Is this right for your family?

This question deserves an honest answer rather than a reassuring one. Readiness requires more than love and good intentions.
