Telling Birth Grandmother You’re Going to Place Your Baby For Adoption

How hard is it for a birth mom to tell her mother that she’s pregnant and that she’ll be placing the birth grandmothers baby for adoption? It’s one more part of many birth mothers’ stories that can be extremely difficult. It also makes the type of adoption you choose an important decision. Chelcie Robinson from Birth Mom Buds writes about her experience with telling her mother that she’s placing her baby for adoption. Her advice to birth mothers:

“If you are pregnant, I highly recommend telling your parents before they find out another way. This way you have your chance to tell them why you are considering adoption for your baby. Being able to tell your parents how you feel and why you feel that way is the best way to start this journey.”
