Lori Pathakis has been a cornerstone of Heart to Heart Adoptions for nine years, beginning as a compassionate case manager and growing into her current role as Legal Coordinator and Compliance Specialist. With a background in Human Resource Development from BYU, Lori ensures every adoption is in full compliance with state and federal laws. She always wants the adoption process to be as seamless as possible for both the adoptive family and the birth family.

I enjoy this area of service in caring for birth mothers during pregnancy and in the great sacrifice of placing a child for adoption. Sometimes we are surprised by a baby that comes early or needs to spend time in the NICU. These are always special circumstances that require a lot of hand holding for everyone involved. We always want the birth family to feel comfortable with their decision and that they completely understand the legal components involved. We never want anyone to sign something that they don’t understand. I enjoy preparing documents and working with families from placement through finalization.
