Over 25 years ago, Donna watched her sister’s adoption journey and felt that birth mothers deserved better support and care. That experience was the reason she left her career as a respiratory therapist and founded Heart to Heart Adoptions. Today, our dedicated team serves women across Utah’s from the Wasatch Mountains to the red rock arches of Moab.

We want you to know that you’re not alone. Whether you’re in Salt Lake Valley or down in St. George, we’re here to help. Our team works around the clock because we understand that questions and fears don’t just come during business hours.

“I was scared and didn’t know what to do. Kathy at Heart to Heart just listened. Even after she found out I was failing at rehab. No pressure, just help.”  — Sarah, Vernal

  • –Can I talk and make decisions later? Yes!!
  • –How do I find good medical care?

  • –Is there help for rent and food?
  • –What happens to my other children while I’m at medical appointments?

Whether you are in downtown Salt Lake City or in Roosevelt, we can meet you or talk by phone or text.

“Tracy knew I was taking the CATS (Cedar Area Transportation Service) to get to doctor appointments. Lots of college students ride it and it was getting to be a bit much. It’s hard not having a car in Cedar City. But Tracy made it work.”  — Maria, birth mother

Can I Get Counseling Before I Make a Decision?

Yes. And we really want you to. Talking through your options before you decide anything is one of the most important things you can do. Jodie, Wendy, Michelle and others in the agency are trained in pregnancy and adoption support. They have met with dozens and dozens of women, some who decided adoption was right and others who decide not to place their child for adoption. Talking is free and are completely confidential. You are not committing to anything by calling us.

What If I’m Not Sure Adoption Is Right for Me?

That is a truly honest feeling. Every decision should feel it is yours. You should never feel pressured. You can discuss all of your options. Many women have called us before deciding, and some chose to keep their babies. That is okay. We want what is best for you and your child, whatever that looks like.

We help women from all over Utah think through:

  • –Keeping your baby and parent
  • –Placing your baby for adoption
  • –Getting more information to help you decide

Will Anyone Find Out I Called You?

No. All calls and texts are confidential. We will not contact anyone in your life without your permission. Heart to Heart Adoption has a full-time staff member dedicated to compliance and confidentiality to make sure of it.

Is Help Available Even If I Haven’t Made Up My Mind?

Yes. Help is here for you, it doesn’t matter if you are facilitating and trying to decide. Women often change their mind dozens of times over the process. We will get calls from women early in their pregnancy. They just want to understand what is involved in the adoption process. We have other women call late in the pregnancy or from the hospital, or even after they have taken a baby home. We are ready to answer questions whenever you are. There’s no judgment, no obligation, no deadline.

Is Open Adoption an Option in Utah?

If adoption feels right for your situation, but losing all contact with your child feels wrong, we will help you find what kind of connection will work for you. In Utah, we honor post-adoption contact agreements. We help you and the adoptive family decide how you will communicate. You get to control that communication and the kind of relationship you want with your child’s family.
