What Help Can I Get?
Live in a small town or rural part of Florida? Heart to Heart Adoptions offers the same free, private support to women outside the big cities as we do everywhere else in the state.
We know South Florida is busy and can feel overwhelming. You do not have to figure this out alone. Here are some of the services that Herat to Heart Adoptions can provide:
- It’s possible that you aren’t living in safe or adequate housing for your pregnancy. We can help you pay rent to relieve stress or help you find a safe place to stay.
- We also want to make sure you have compassionate and competent health care. We can help with this.
- There are some funds available for food and maternity clothes as well as other necessities.
- You have your own personal lawyer that is provided at no cost to you.
- We are here to provide counseling before you give birth and after for as long as you want it.
- Your choice of how much contact you want with the adoptive family after adoption
What Makes Rural Florida Different?
Not everyone in Florida lives near a big city. Many of the women we help live in small towns, farming communities, or rural counties where the nearest hospital or office might be an hour away. Living in a small town also means everyone might know your business, which can make a pregnancy feel even more private and stressful. We understand both of these things.
No matter how small your town is or how far you live from a Heart to Heart office, you can still get full support, including financial help and a lawyer who explains your rights in plain language.
Questions Women Here Often Ask
Women in rural Florida often ask: what if everyone in my town will know I am pregnant? What if the closest doctor is far away? Can I do everything by phone so I do not have to drive far? We offer remote counseling, can help arrange transportation, and keep your information completely confidential.
“I get pictures of my son and letters about how he is doing in school. It makes my heart happy knowing he is living a good life.”
