We love Florida and are happy to meet you wherever you are. We provide you with your own case manager. That woman will be with you through the entire pregnancy and after while you still need support. You get 24/7  support, financial assistance calibrated to your local cost of living, free legal counsel, and post-placement counseling.

Does it matter which part of Florida I'm in for the adoption process?

There are not different laws in different parts of the state of Florida. We will make sure that you know your legal rights. These rights include that you can not be pressured into signing anything and that you have the right to assistance. This is true whether you are in Miami Beach or a small Panhandle town. What does vary by location is cost of living. Housing assistance in Miami reflects South Florida rental costs. Support in Jacksonville reflects Northeast Florida costs. Heart to Heart Adoptions does not use a flat statewide formula. Your counselor works with what housing and living expenses actually cost where you are.

We have worked with many hospitals in Florida. They are normally amazing as we work with them about your desires. Heart to Heart coordinates with that hospital’s social work team ahead of time so your plan is known and honored on delivery day.

Can I get in-person support anywhere in Florida?

Yes. Heart to Heart counselors can travel to be with you in person. This means that we will be there supporting you during labor and delivery. We will help with meetings.

What Kinds of Adoption Are Available in Florida?

  • Florida-based help
  • Available 24/7 by phone and text, in every part of Florida
  • Financial assistance calibrated to your local cost of living
  • Hospital coordination with your specific delivery hospital, wherever you are
  • Free independent legal counsel before you sign anything
  • Post-placement counseling that continues after the adoption is finalized

Is financial help available for housing and living expenses no matter where in Florida I live?

Yes. Florida Statute §63.212 authorizes Heart to Heart to assist with pregnancy-related living expenses statewide — rent, utilities, food, maternity clothing, transportation to medical care, phone, and childcare for other children during appointments. The amount reflects what things actually cost in your part of Florida. South Florida housing costs more than Northwest Florida housing, and your counselor accounts for that.

LEGAL NOTE: Florida Statute §63.212(1)(c) as amended by SB 1322 (2023): living expense assistance during pregnancy and for a reasonable time after birth is permitted statewide without requiring proof of medical necessity..

How do I find a birth mother adoption agency near me in Florida?

The fastest way is to call 877-437-3424 or text 801-563-1000. A Heart to Heart counselor will answer directly — not a voicemail, not an intake form — and will tell you exactly how the agency can help you in your specific location. You can also use the city pages above to find information specific to your part of Florida.

Heart to Heart is not a website that refers you somewhere else. When you call, you reach the agency that will handle your case from first call through post-placement support.
