What Makes Fort Myers Different?
Southwest Florida is one of the fastest-growing parts of the state. It is also a place of big contrasts. Naples has some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Florida, while nearby towns like Immokalee and Lehigh Acres are working-class farming and agricultural communities. Heart to Heart supports women across this whole region, not just the well-known beach towns.
We love walking along the beach looking for shells in the “Shelling Capital of North America.” Sometimes Fort Myers beaches feel too busy and it’s nice to go to some of the quieter beaches that the tourists haven’t found. We are here for you if you need some time for solitude. One of our favorite places if Fort Myers’s River district with the local markets and art walks.
This page also covers Sarasota, Bradenton, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda along the Southwest Florida Gulf Coast.
Questions Women Here Often Ask
Women in this area often ask: I live in a small farming town, can you still help me? What if I do not have a car to get to appointments in the city? We can arrange transportation and reach women throughout Southwest Florida, including rural and agricultural communities.
“Adoption hurt. I knew it would. But I just couldn’t keep her. I am not healthy. Espeically mentally. Sharyn brought me a computer and showed me how to look at family profiles. Because I tested positive for drugs CPS was also there, but the worker was nice and we spent all night looking at families. I knew giving my baby to someone would hurt, but it also felt really good.”
